Playmate 2 is more than a pretty new outfit. It is a complete transformation from the already famous P1. The Playmate 2 is Burson Audio’s latest iteration of their introductory headphone DAC/Amp, built on the company’s philosophy around customizable sound and Class A amplification. With four 'modular' opamps on board, you can control how the music reaches your headphones. The included USB-C, and Toslink inputs allow you the flexibility to stream music from any laptop, phone, or even TV to your listening setup. Just Plug-n-play!

Power & Flexibility
Not only does the Playmate feature a powerful 3-watt per channel Class-A headphone amp, but it also is designed to adapt to your listening preferences. With four discrete audio opamps and a host of interchangeable variations (including Burson’s own industry leading designs), the Playmate 2 has the ability to adjust to your exact desires in a headphone amp. Two levels of power control, each with 100 volume steps. 110db IEM, no worries. 70db planner magnetic, no sweat.

Custom Chassis
The Playmate 2’s custom designed and precision machined enclosure has a trick up its sleeve: it’s also a fully functional heat sink. This allows for a unique and striking visual aesthetic on the outside while keeping the powerful Class-A electronics cool on the inside.

Small, Smart & Capable
The Playmate 2 features a standard USB-C port for dongle-free connections to most modern computers and a Toslink optical port for even more flexibility. Internally, the SABRE32/ESS9038Q2M DAC and advanced digital processors allow for DSD512 and 32BIT/786kHz performance. This DAC/Amp also features traditional analogue outputs and a unique HD microphone input designed specifically for PC gaming needs. It also comes with an optional remote preamp for movie nights.
