Meet the new Shure MV7: A Digital Spin on the SM7B! Coming 2021

Inspired by the legendary SM7B, the MV7 is a dynamic microphone with both USB and XLR outputs for use with computers and professional interfaces alike. Connect via USB and explore additional set-up features and Auto Level Mode within our ShurePlus™ MOTIV app, to control your vocal tone, and distance from the microphone. With Auto Level Mode, you can let the microphone do the work for you.

Though the MV7’s exterior shares an instantly recognizable shape with the SM7B—the profile seen in countless radio stations, recording studios, and podcasting rigs—it’s what lies beneath the visible layer that changes everything.

Far from your typical dynamic transducer, the MV7 features voice-isolation technology to push extraneous room noise into the background and pull out the special sound of your unique voice simultaneously, yielding strong, professional vocals ready for the world to hear.

Gone are the tedious troubles of having to adjust recording levels manually and fiddle with compressor settings; the auto-level mode of the MV7 automatically manages gain and compression to make the capture of your voice stable and consistently intelligible with no manipulation required from you.

Another massive advantage afforded to you by the MV7 is its ability to integrate seamlessly with analog and digital recording equipment. Outfitted with XLR and USB outputs, the MV7 is ideal for connecting directly to a USB port on your device for easy solo podcasts, or it can slide right into a panel podcast setup by plugging into the XLR input of an existing audio interface, outboard mic preamp, or external mixer. It can even do both at the same time to accommodate concurrent livestreaming and recording to different platforms.

Like the SM7B, the MV7 utilizes a built-in mount to allow smooth positioning and secure attachment to a mic stand, boom arm, or desktop stand. Unlike the SM7B, it comes with cables for USB Type-C and USB Type-A connectivity. For additional convenience and customization, the MV7 supports configuration via the ShurePlus MOTIV app for iOS and Android mobile devices.

If you’re unsure of how you’ll attain a competitive edge in your podcasts, livestreams, gamecasts, and vocal recordings, grab a Shure MV7, plug it in, and let it do the work for you.
