The Control One from Sound Performance Lab (SPL), manufactured in Germany, combines the acclaimed headphone amps and Phonitor Matrix (sound processor) with high-quality monitor control facilities. The SPL Control One is perfect for engineers when producing pro-level projects, recording, mixing or mastering and need rock-solid results. The Control One was developed for fast workflow and impressive sound quality.
Comprehensive Monitoring
As a full-fledged monitor controller, Control One offers two pairs of outputs for stereo speakers. You can listen to your projects via two switchable pairs of speakers along with a subwoofer that’s switched on and off with speaker pair A. Two analogue stereo sources can be connected and the input signal is routed directly to the Control One’s line-level output, enabling it to loop between devices without sacrificing an output. This is very convenient because you get three monitoring modes: Stereo, Mono, and Channel Swap.
Phonitor Matrix is Perfect for Monitoring
You'll be able to use your headphones or speakers more effectively when you monitor through the SPL Control One. Thanks to the acclaimed Phonitor Matrix you can re-create the spatial effects of listening to stereo loudspeakers (listening angle and crossfeed between left and right channels) through your headphones.
The realistic stereo imaging of the Phonitor Matrix mode will allow you to make better panning, EQ, effect signals and mixing adjustments than you would otherwise with headphones.
