The result6 provides an affordable entree to world-class PMC monitoring and the massive benefits of ATL™ technology, PMC’s proprietary bass-loading system at the heart of all their designs.
With result6, PMC offers active two-way near field monitors with all the attributes for which PMC is world-famous: high resolution and detail accuracy, precise, extended bass, consistent tone balance at all levels and an extended sweet spot. In addition to the two Class-D amplifiers (HF 65W, LF 100W), these include the RF drivers known as "D-Find", which serve to improve the off-axis frequency response and expand the sweet spot, and the new "D-Fins" technology, which reduces diffraction effects during RF reproduction and edge reflections.
Advanced Transmission Line technology ATL™
PMC is renowned for their proprietary Advanced Transmission Line ATL™ technology. A transmission line is a method of loading a low-frequency speaker in a cabinet so that undesirable frequencies radiating from the rear of the driver are absorbed, allowing only the lowest frequencies to pass. With this case, the bass driver is located at the end of a wound tube inside the cabinet, which is covered with insulating material. The constant air pressure in the cabinet makes the driver more precise and transparent, the midrange is not masked by harmonic distortions and the reproduction impresses with enormous clarity.
