Description
A Flexible low latency addition to any Audio-over-IP system
RedNet D16R AES is a 1U, 19in rack-mount Dante interface featuring 16 x 16 channels of AES/EBU connectivity to and from any Dante™ audio network. Perfect for linking digital consoles and power amplifiers to any other AES3 audio equipment with a Dante network, RedNet D16R has SRC (Sample Rate Conversion) on each input pair allowing plug-and-play operation with any AES3 source.
Word Clock I/O and DARS (Digital Audio Reference Signal) connections allow synchronisation with a wide range of external sources and hardware, while S/PDIF I/O allows the integration of equipment such as CDs or solid-state recorders/players.
Dante™ & Digital Audio
Focusrite RedNet uses the Dante protocol to connect to your studio network. Dante (Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet) transmits uncompressed, multi-channel digital audio over a standard Ethernet with incredibly low latency.
Featuring network and power supply redundancy, RedNet D16R is the ideal choice for providing AES3 I/O in many critical-path applications, whether in Post Production, Broadcast, Live Sound or the Recording Studio.
Built-in Power Supply & Ethernet Redundancy
The RedNet D16R’s network and PSU redundancy gives live sound and broadcast engineers that much-needed extra piece of mind in critical live sound environments.
Dual PSUs and rear-panel Ethernet connectors provide absolute network reliability with seamless switch-over to a standby network in case of the unexpected. In a studio setting, these ports can be used to daisy-chain additional units when operating in Switched mode. Redundant universal power supplies (100V-240V) also provide seamless switching capability. In the event of a power outage, one supply can be connected to an uninterruptible source. Each PSU’s status can be monitored remotely over the network or from the front panel.
RedNet Remote Control
Word Clock I/O on BNC connectors allows external devices to clock to RedNet D16R, or alternatively allows RedNet D16R to act as a network clock grand master slaved to external input. Power is supplied through a pair of locking IEC power inlets, and network connections are provided with a pair of locking Neutrik etherCON connectors; providing redundant operation or daisy-chained operation.
All the clocking and input/output options of RedNet D16R AES are remotely-controlled by the RedNet Control software application for Mac and PC. Brainworx bx_console Focusrite – Included exclusively for free plug-in that faithfully captures the sound, feel and styling of the original Focusrite ISA 110 Equaliser and ISA 130 Dynamics Modules.
