The Focusrite Clarett+ OctoPre is a premium 8-channel microphone preamp and converter. It is designed for the expansion of ADAT-enabled audio interfaces and meets even the highest demands for transmission quality and signal fidelity. A special feature of the Clarett+ OctoPre is the well-known AIR function. When AIR is engaged the Clarett+ OctoPre switches impedance to 2.2kΩ and adds two cumulative high shelves, totalling a 4dB boost in the high frequencies, which recreates the sound of the classic Focusrite ISA 110. This captures transients on drums, makes vocals shine, and ensures a precise, clear recording. 

The Classic Focusrite Sound with All-Analogue Air
Get closer to the origins of Focusrite with premium relay-controlled analogue circuitry on every preamp that emulates the classic Focusrite ISA 110, as featured on the original Focusrite Studio Console. When Air is engaged, it switches the impedance to 2.2 kilohms and adds two cumulative high shelves, totalling a 4 dB boost in the high frequencies.
