The elysia xmax is a top-tier Class-A stereo masterbus processor designed for mixing and mastering. Combining transparency, precision, and flexible control, it enhances your sound in the studio or live.

The core of the xmax is its Class-A circuitry with internal Mid/Side processing, delivering pristine audio quality without compromising the natural integrity of your mix. The multiband compression – split into low, mid, and side bands—allows for detailed control of each frequency range, letting you shape your sound with precision.

Multiband Compression
The elysia xmax offers flexible multiband compression for both smooth dynamic control and punchy impact. With two ratio settings for all three compressors, it easily adapts to any material. Its fixed 10ms attack time preserves natural transients while still providing effective compression. For more dynamic material, Auto Fast automatically shortens the attack time when gain reduction reaches 8dB or more to prevent distortion and maintain clarity. No need to worry about adjusting attack settings, the compressors are fast when needed.

Variable Crossover Frequency
Adjust low/mid band crossover to precisely shape low-end dynamics. Flexible range of 40 Hz to 470 Hz allows for control of sub/bass and lower midrange frequencies. Ideal for focused, controlled, and powerful low-end energy.

VariLink Function
Take full control over compressor behaviour with adjustable band linking. Choose between independent or fully linked mode with precision and intention. Set the master band and adjust thresholds for a cohesive and musical compression feel across complex mix material. Guide dynamics processing according to musical context with xmax.

Tone Control
Enhance or reduce high frequencies in your sound with ease using the professional-grade Tone control on the xmax Masterbus Processor. Perfect for adding a touch of air to your mix or shaping your overall sound, the subtle yet effective filter offers a range from -8 dB to +8 dB, optimised for natural adjustments. Whether mixing or mastering, quickly achieve the desired tonal balance without relying on external EQ.

Analogue Metering
The xmax has a real-time display for gain reduction across three compression bands - low, mid, and side, and the soft clip limiter. The meter shows detailed gain reduction in decibels, giving visual feedback for both subtle and punchy compression. It also displays peak reduction for the limiter to help monitor and control signal peaks without distortion. The display enhances workflow and decision-making for precise dynamics and mix adjustments.
