A Complete Studio Front End

The Camden EC2 is a two-channel 19" 1U preamp featuring award-winning Camden preamps, Mojo analogue saturation circuits, and dual reference-quality headphone amplifiers with discrete line mixers. It delivers low-noise and low-distortion performance with frequency and phase linearity at all gain settings, providing a neutral canvas or vintage tonal character via the Mojo circuit.

Award-Winning Camden Preamp Topology
Featuring two discrete instances of Cranborne Audio’s ‘Camden’ preamp topology, the EC2 achieves high-performance specifications for noise and distortion. This allows for the capture of low-sensitivity microphones without adding noise and maintains phase linearity across all gain settings.

Vintage Mojo Analogue Saturation
The Mojo circuit offers two discrete styles: Thump, which emulates vintage transformer-based preamps, and Cream, which emulates tube-based saturation. Unlike physical transformers or valves, the saturation amount is completely variable, allowing for precise control over the harmonic content of the signal.

Advanced Monitoring and Reamping
The unit includes two high-power headphone amplifiers with independent line mixers. This allows for zero-latency monitoring of the preamps or artist mixes using the rear-panel Aux inputs. Dedicated Link outputs allow for instrument DIs to be sent to amplifiers while simultaneously recording the clean signal.

C.A.S.T. Integration
The integrated C.A.S.T. system allows for the transmission of balanced analogue audio over shielded Cat 5 Ethernet cables. This provides a plug-and-play connection to Cranborne 500R8 or 500ADAT racks, as well as remote I/O via N22/N22H Cat 5 snakes.
